UPDATE:
Post-Auckland (18/4/2007)
What
an incredible weekend! Thank you to everyone
who supported this Event in Auckland - your
feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive!
The
Tutors had a terrific time also, and so did
we... some snippets of feedback follow:
- ...
had a great time at Crafting Connections 2007
and really enjoyed myself. Thank you! I particularly
enjoyed Nic Howard’s classes...
- ...
all of the ten classes I took were stunning
and thank you for 'freestyling' us. I think
that the classes which took me most out of
my comfort zone, but in which I learnt the
most techniques and on reflection understood
the huge depth of 'the concept', were the
Tia Bennett classes. They were jam-packed
with new techniques and it didn't matter a
jot that we had only just begun making the
page or the journal - it was the free-styling
techniques which I learnt which have made
the weekend memorable.
-
... just wanted to say thank-you for a fantastic
weekend at CC2007! We loved every minute of
it and want to know when the next one is so
we can start saving! You and your team were
great and the tutors were all so inspiring.
Thanks!
- ...
I loved this past weekend... I was inspired.
Everyone learnt so much and the classes were
just amazing. I didnt hear ONE single bad
thing about the classes etc - in fact it was
all outstanding feedback about the class content.
I feel like as a inspirational event that
this was a huge success - more so than CC06
- the concentration on learning techniques
was just fantastic.
- ...
looking forward to finishing all the projects
with all the techniques I learnt. No way could
we do everything in class... but the notes,
the online links to extra information are
all we need. Thank you!
The
crop night was fantastic... each of the US Tutors
introducing themselves through short videos
of their homes and creative spaces. This was
followed by four, specially designed, "Make
'n Takes"... which were later described
as "they were not Make 'n Takes - they
were extra classes!". Wellington
& Sydney can look forward to essentially
the same - but after a long day Tutoring, the
Tutors will not stay too long.
We
squeezed a dinner into the Event on the Saturday
Evening - what a lot of fun! Very relaxed, great
food, great company... with all the Tutors getting
to know many on a personal basis.
The
announcement and special offers of both Nic
Howard's new book "That's Life" (pre-orders
taken) and Crafting Connection 2007 "Stacy
Julian & Friends" (with class outline
details) was also appreciated by many - and
these will be extended to Wellington & Sydney
participants.
And
of course - Rhonna Farrer appeared on Good Morning
on TVNZ on Monday... a lot of fun, informative
and inspirational! We will try to put up links
to the video of this here soon.
So...
if you are not yet registered, or you want to
take additional classes - please visit here
to arrange!
And
finally, we are always keen to get the feedback
- good or bad - and we will have an Online Feedback
available shortly for you all to complete.
Wellington/Sydney
Participants: Just a reminder... please
bring the tools and other items requested in
your "bring to class" list. These
classes are full on... there is no room for
a lot of sharing or borrowing.
And
also - please listen to Tutor instructions on
the shared supplies i.e. ribbon, flowers, crystals,
fabric etc. These are ordered in quantities
to support all the classes and participants
and there is rarely any capacity for providing
more of these items if too much is used or taken,
or items damaged. Care, attention and fairness
to us and others please.
Photo's:
We can never have enough of these!
Please send any you have of the Event to us!
You can see a few that we managed/remembered
to take in amongst everything else here
