I’m a Perth gal living in Los Angeles thanks to my husband’s crazy science career, a mother of a very fun little 4 year old beansprout and a lover of all things handmade and artistic. You will always find me with paint on my hands, love in my heart and no shoes on my feet! I love to share ideas, meet new people and get messy together in classes – can’t wait to see you soon! 		Title: Altered State Description: What if, just for a few hours...we forget about the 'rules' and worry of 'messing it up', and go wild and crazy?!! In this very 'free' style class, we will alter our state of mind, and our photos, to create an insightful art journal folder full of paint, ink, graffiti journalling and a blissfully artsy photo! Bring to Class: Basic tools, an 8 x 10 B&W photo of SELF with ‘space’ around body/head (eg, face does not take up ENTIRE photograph) IMPORTANT – Photo needs to be printed at photo kiosk and not at home for altering techniques to work. Please get matte finish if possible. A 4 x 6 photo (B&W or colour) of self, or something meaningful to you, as an optional extra photo for project. Apron - optional if concerned about mess!
		Title: Shiny Happy People Description: You know you have at least one of them - the shiny happy people in your life who make your smile bigger and your heart jump when you see them. In this class we will create a funky tribute to your shiny happy person/people on a 9x9 page - using a variety of techniques and mixed media including spray paint, dyed paper towels, glitter and stitching...and lots of ideas for future creations! Bring to Class: Basic Tools, Fine Tipped Paint Brushes, 4 x 6 photo of someone(s) who makes you happy (B&W or Colour), assorted pens for journaling, Round Hole Punch. Apron - optional if concerned about mess!
		PROJECT CLASS (2 - 2 1/2 hrs)
		Title: Wall Art Description: Have you ever wanted to make a piece of 'art' for your wall but your life portrait ends up looking a bit like your 5 year old did it? It's time to shed yourself of old notions as to what is 'art' and just PLAY! I will show you some techniques and examples - and then let you loose to create a crazy/freestyle colourful collage on canvas using paint, fabric, stitching and transparency to brighten up a wall in your home - and release the inner artist within you... even if she is only 5 - coz' thats ok! Bring to Class: Basic Tools, a favourite photo that can be cropped to a 4” circle in class, a favourite quote to go with the photo – printed off at home in any font on regular white printer paper (it would be best to bring a couple of copies of the quote, in different size font up to 1” tall to see what fits your project best. Apron - optional if concerned about mess!
